Incomati River Lodge is a small and exclusive coastal lodge situated on the Macaneta peninsula just north of Maputo, Mozambique. This exclusive lodge is set on the banks of the Incomati River, close to the sea in the wide bay that the early Portuguese explorers once named Delagoa Bay. With just 4 en-suite chalets accommodating 8 guests Incomati River Lodge offers self-catering accommodation with self-drive option and is an ideal location for that special family holiday in Mozambique.
To reach Incomati River Lodge you have to cross the river on the Batelao Ferry, while waiting for the ferry to reach your side of the river you can visit Julios Restaurant and Pub for an ice cold beer or cool drink. After crossing the river the lodge can only be reached by boat or by 4x4 vehicle, creating an aura of remoteness. If you are not travelling in a 4x4 there is a secure courtyard at Julios where you can leave your vehicle until you return from your exclusive Mozambique holiday.
Incomati River Lodge has a central lounge and bar area with a wide wooden deck built over the river. The view from the deck is of the wide tidal Incomati River slowly flowing past the lodge, the sunsets and sunrises in Mozambique are exceptional. The swimming pool is situated next to the bar and also has a view of the river, what better way to spend your time during the heat of middle of the day than to relax in the pool with an ice cold local beer or a caipiriniha.
The exclusive self-catering accommodation at Incomati River Lodge normally accommodates 8 guests in 4 comfortable en-suite chalets, but can accommodate up to 12 guests sharing as triples, ideal for families with children.
